Leon Charney was born in 1938 in New Jersey, the son of poor immigrants. He lost his father at a young age and had to provide for his family. Talented and sharp, charismatic and warm hearted, he eventually became a real estate baron, TV entertainer, politician, author, scholar and philanthropist. He was also a covert political adviser who had both the opportunity and the interpersonal skills necessary to make history; he played an important role in the final formation of the Camp David peace agreement between Israel and Egypt. He died in March 2016, leaving his wife, Tzili, and their two sons.

This site was created to honor the legacy of Leon Charney Z”L, may his memory be a blessing.
